The Ultimate Western Clinton County Hoagie Crawl
#1 Green Lantern Bar & Restaurant
We’ve heard the rumors, so let us clarify. If you’ve walked into Green Lantern expecting to see a 6 foot Ryan Reynolds in a glowing costume, you may be just a tad disappointed. However, they do offer a variety of cheesesteaks, which is almost just as good.
#2 Socky’s Restaurant
All of your favorite American-bred meats and cheeses piled in a bun with your choice of vegetables. Need we say more?
#3 North Bend Grille
What we love about North Bend Grille is that they offer something for everyone. Cold subs, hot subs, pizza, fries, and everything in between.
#4 Pat Reeders Tavern
Celebrating over 100 years in business, Pat Redeers Tavern is the perfect reward for a steep drive. We’re convinced the black bear on the menu just may be a local, and he recommends the cheese steak sub!
#5 The Lion’s Den
The Lion’s Den Cafe is considered Mufasa’s personal sanctuary. The menu consists of all of your favorite hoagie spot classics: cheesesteaks, hoagies, and of course: ice cream. For $6.50 or $12.00, we can ALL be Kings of the jungle.
#6 The Rosebriar Inn on Kettle Creek
The Rosebriar Inn is so much more than just a place to lay your head. After glancing over the “Handheld & Wraps” section of their menu, we are able to make 2 solid conclusions. Number 1: Pennsylvania is likely the only place that you can stop at an inn and be given EIGHT different hoagie options. Number 2: Upgrading your chips to French fries for $2.50 is the ONLY right answer.
#7 Three Brothers Pizza and Sweet Spot
If it’s Wednesday, it’s hoagie night! We believe when it comes to a hoagie, there really is no wrong answer. Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak? Right on! Italian baked or cold? It’s your prerogative. We do not need to fix something that is not broken. Whatever you order is truly the golden standard. Thank us later.
#8 Smitty’s Restaurant
New to the scene in South Renovo is Smitty’s Restaurant, with the ambiance of a fire department without the smoke and rubber. The Handhelds portion of the menu boasts J Js Beef Shredder, served on a 12-inch roll. Or the Bucktail Delight, paying homage to the Bucktail Bucks (no venison on this chicken breast sandwich!)
#9 Pop Pop’s Place
And let’s not forget Pop Pop’s Place! We hear they know a thing or two about a great hoagie. Always filled with meat and vegetables, you can’t go wrong with a quick pick me up from everybody’s hometown Pop Pop. Extra cheese? Why not! Hoagies don’t have carbs or calories!
